Mister Shane went on a Carnival fantasy-class budget-luxury cruise ship from New Orleans to Mexico in January 2016. He documented his experience extensively with modern recording devices and wrote this collection of music in his stateroom, composing songs only with field recordings from his time at sea and his own voice. He found paradise. He found prison.
